Had some time to kill, decided to have fun and do strobist portraits of friends and officemates in one of the schools and our apartment in Denmark.

Finally purchased a Nikkon 50mm 1.8d, bokeh looks pleasing enough. Can't wait to explore the full potentials of this lens. Some samples. As always, with two of my most willing models.

Online reports state that softness is very apparent at F1.8, but my copy doesnt seem too bad.

Had a bunch of colleagues visit the office,as usual, beach sessions. It was almost sunset, the golden hour, but I didnt want to shoot in natural light. Using my flash and sometimes using the D70s' max flash synch speed, tamed the ambient and took photos against the light.

My take on outdoor flash photography. Used a Nissin Di622 off-cam, trigerred via optical slave mode. Sorry for the models, walang makitang mga magagandang babae na naka-bikini. All manual exposure modes.

My friend requested me to take a portrait of her children. These are my favorite shots. I adjusted the levels and sharpness using photoshop and resized the pictures using photoscape.

I find Tamron 28-75/2.8 is a bit warm on some instances but using Auto always works like charm.

This is my niece Keisha with my mom and sister-in-law and was taken March'09.
