Not much here really, most of my shots from this day are portraits and I'll share a few. These are Out of Camera jpegs, and adjusted in lightroom by adjusting the tone curve into medium contrast, and resized. Sig was added by Picasa uploader, gotta love the auto-uploader.

The cheap filter has its uses eh? It did the flaring my lens could not!

Deer Park Photowalk in Copenhagen

Met-up with a photographer friend from Denmark, went to a Deerpark an hour by train north of Copenhagen at 6am, was freezing cold! Aside from Nis (my photographer friend), Joakim (his friend) and Zack (my friend from Mindoro) tagged along also. Nis and Joakim were using Canon with super telephoto zooms while Zack and I were using Nikons with mid-telephoto zooms. Needless to say, Nis and Joakim got the deer money shots as our range were puny in comparison (you need at least a 200mm zoom to photograph them deers. Just took photos of other views instead.

Catching the first light in a small pond. Waking up early in the morning was all worth it.

Copenhagen Canal Tours

After a month in Europe, I am finally back home here in Pinas. I'd like to share with you all my initial sets of photos taken in Denmark. The first one documents my Canal Tour.

The tour starts via Docks like these which is scattered all over the canal ways. Although I am not the "touristy" tourist kind (if ever there is such a word), the canal tour offered the easiest way to get introduced to the city.

Majestic structures such as these littered the city.

These photos were taken last year using kitlens and manage to tweak the colors better.

It's really hard to get descent IR result on D60 with just using filters - D60 sensors already blocks IR bigtime. (yes D80/D90/D300/D3 are the worst heheh)

I started a photo-a-day project using just my nifty fifty, and I thought I'd start with one of the reasons I started on this hobby called photography. I present to you my "baby". Its what I call my weapon of choice when I am in my weekend warrior mode. :-) I play airsoft wargames on weekends tho' not as often as I like these days, been inactive for about 7 months now...as a weekend warrior, you not only play the game, you dress up as well, with uniforms and gears of whatever military/police organization you're emulating. Thats where photography comes in...you think or you know you look the part, so might as well take a photo of yourself or your team (read: camwhoring :-P) to share with friends, family and co-players... Today is day one of my project, I just hope I make thru to day 365. Wish me luck..and thanks for looking. peace...
